About the artist:

As a child, Sandy always enjoyed drawing, but didn't pursue art seriously until later in her adult life. When she discovered the high quality colored pencils that are available today, she found a medium that was not only convenient and portable, but fit her style. She enjoys the detail she can capture with them when drawing human and animal portraits, flowers, and birds. She sometimes combines colored pencil with pen and ink, markers, or graphite to enhance a drawing. Sandy was the first lifetime member of the Camarillo (California) Art Club and has won numerous awards locally, mostly for her portrait work.
